Understanding the landscape, visually.

Employing information from the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources’ BioFinder (Vermont Conservation Design), we have been working to compile a custom geospatial database (digital maps) that captures the most up-to-date ecological, environmental, and land use information available for the Taconic Forest block. In addition, we have been gathering data on future threats that our forests face from factors such as climate change and development.

A small sampling of these regional maps can be viewed under the “Maps” tab, allowing you to see how your land fits into the larger regional picture.
